Still Awesome

I have stayed at this fabulous hotel a couple times over the past year and just love it. It is a grand and stately building, the bar and restaurant are top notch, and the location could not be better. The property is one block from the Pearl Street "mall" which is actually a charming pedestrian shopping and eating area. You are a short drive from CU Boulder, Boulder Canyon, the Flatirons, and Eldorado State Park. While visiting, I took a scenic drive through the canyon all the way to Estes Park. If the weather permits, this is a beautiful day trip.

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Jamaica Inn twice. The first time was many years ago for a friend's wedding. The property, staff, food and beach made a lasting impression. Then, recently, I returned to Jamaica Inn with my son for a week of relaxation. I was delighted that everything was just as awesome as I remembered. The staff are amazing and attentive. The food is wonderful, and you can do as much or as little as you like. There is a protected swimming area along the full length of the soft, sandy beach. There is a restaurant and room service, and downtown Ocho Rios is a very short car ride away. Slightly further into the mountains is a tourist attraction called The Blue Hole that is definitely worth checking out.

I stayed at Grace Bay Club in April when the weather in TCI is just amazing. Grace Bay Club is like 3 hotels on one property; the adults only Hotel, the family friendly Villas, and the super-lux Estate. You can't go wrong with any of these options. The hotel staff is welcoming and very helpful. We had personal service provide by Franklin who, like the island, was always "amazin' darling!" We spent hours on the beach and by the pool. Dining options range from room service, to wait staff bringing meals to the beach chairs, to elegant dining options at the hotel and nearby on the beach.

I have been visiting Hotel Emma for several years. It is steeped in the charm of its meticulously preserved building which was a 19th century brew house. Elements of this history are evident throughout the public spaces as well as the guest rooms. The hotel sits in The Pearl, which is a thriving neighborhood of shops, restaurants, and the historic San Antonio Riverwalk. Hotel Emma is an amazing and luxurious destination.

Recently renovated and still breathtaking. This destination is everything you imagine: beautiful weather, warm water, delicious food, and probably the most romantic setting in the world. Every day I was there, I kept thinking that it was hard to believe this place really exists.

The Lodge is a skier's paradise! Arrival starts with car and ski valet. Check-in is near the lobby bar and fireplace where guests enjoy the atmosphere and drinks. The spa is top notch. Two outdoor hot tubs and a heated pool are sweet relief after a day on the slopes. The staff is helpful at every step. And there is plenty to do for adults and kids even if snow sports aren't your thing.
