Still Awesome

We have eaten here several times, and the food and service are always outstanding. We come here when we ski in nearby Stowe, VT. Reservations can be difficult, so take care of that early. Come hungry and plan on three delicious courses. Really, don't miss this restaurant if you are in the Waterbury or Stowe area.

I had the opportunity to spend a week on Hilton Head Island earlier this year. I had never visited, but had heard only great things. I didn't expect awesome, but there was so much that impressed me. Upon arrival, the landscaping throughout the island is amazing; all roads, sidewalks, bike paths, shopping centers, and properties are meticulously maintained. The golf courses are a big draw and are some of the best in the country. We stayed in a hotel right on the beach and enjoyed the views and amenities daily. We rented bikes and toured the island slowly for many hours. We got to see other beaches and hotels and we picked out some food spots to try while riding. Bring a bathing suit, SPF, maybe some golf clubs, and go unwind on Hilton Head Island.

I have been visiting Hotel Emma for several years. It is steeped in the charm of its meticulously preserved building which was a 19th century brew house. Elements of this history are evident throughout the public spaces as well as the guest rooms. The hotel sits in The Pearl, which is a thriving neighborhood of shops, restaurants, and the historic San Antonio Riverwalk. Hotel Emma is an amazing and luxurious destination.
