I have stayed at this fabulous hotel a couple times over the past year and just love it. It is a grand and stately building, the bar and restaurant are top notch, and the location could not be better. The property is one block from the Pearl Street "mall" which is actually a charming pedestrian shopping and eating area. You are a short drive from CU Boulder, Boulder Canyon, the Flatirons, and Eldorado State Park. While visiting, I took a scenic drive through the canyon all the way to Estes Park. If the weather permits, this is a beautiful day trip.
I had the opportunity to spend a week on Hilton Head Island earlier this year. I had never visited, but had heard only great things. I didn't expect awesome, but there was so much that impressed me. Upon arrival, the landscaping throughout the island is amazing; all roads, sidewalks, bike paths, shopping centers, and properties are meticulously maintained. The golf courses are a big draw and are some of the best in the country. We stayed in a hotel right on the beach and enjoyed the views and amenities daily. We rented bikes and toured the island slowly for many hours. We got to see other beaches and hotels and we picked out some food spots to try while riding. Bring a bathing suit, SPF, maybe some golf clubs, and go unwind on Hilton Head Island.
